The web design for my own site is what is loosely referred to in our industry as “Minimalistic”, and is based on a design style that is “Monochromatic”, i.e. a monochromatic object or image has colors in shades of limited colors or hues. Monochrome images in neutral colors are called gray-scale or black-and-white.
There are as many different visual design styles, as there are different types of websites, and not every type of design style is suited to every type of website. One has to carefully consider how a design concept (the visual aspect) can affect the end-user’s perception of the business or organization in question.
Therefore, when determining the correct design style for a client’s new website, I take into careful consideration the client’s brand, product and target audience.
